Marketing - One Easy Way To Increase Your Marketing ROI

So many businesses are struggling with their marketing; spending too much on acquiring new customers.

That's why this article has been written; there is one easy way to increase your ROI (Return On Investment) dramatically, and it's so obvious, it's very often overlooked.

I'm talking, of course, about targeted marketing.

Most businesses will just send out a batch of mailshots to prospects they've never had contact with before. I'm not saying don't do this; I'm saying if you want to increase your ROI, instead of sending them to people you've never had contact with, send them to your prospects who have already been in contact with you, but weren't at the right stage in the buying cycle.

You are a lot more likely to get a response from an audience that has already heard from you rather than from an audience who simply thinks that you're spamming them, and will throw your letter away as soon as look at it.

As well as this, you can target your list more by seeing what traits your best customers have. For example, if you're an Accountant, and you get most of your business from small businesses, you would target your mailshots to owners of small businesses, rather than larger or multi-national companies.

Or, if you are a wine retailer, you can target your more expensive wines to people with larger incomes, and vice versa.

A great example of how this is done is on Facebook. If you have a Facebook page for your business, you can create an advert for it. While you are creating that advert, you have a whole range of demographics to choose from, ranging from age, location, interests, etc.

The benefits of targeting your marketing are almost endless; while it will still cost the same to send out the same amount of mailshots, or make the same amount of calls, you will get a much higher response; meaning a much higher ROI!

So; the morale of this article is, target your audience!
