Land Mine #1:It sounds too good to be true. I know that is an old cliche but it holds a lot of truth. If a program promises immediate wealth, instant spiritual enlightenment or any other form of instant success, then you have probably found a Land Mine.
Land Mine #2: Find success without work. How many time have you come across a success program that says that it takes no effort on your part to become successful. Well, if you believe that one, I have a bridge in Brooklyn that I will be glad to sell you at a very good price. I don't care what route you take to success, it is going to take work. Not necessarily physical work but work just the same.
Land Mine #3 I am the only one with the real "Secret." In the world of cyberspace, there are no secrets anymore. With blogs, forums, social networking and dedicated content websites, there are no secrets. If someone is claiming that they are the only one that know the "Secret" to self fulfillment, success, Law of Attraction" or anything else, you are stepping on a Land Mine. It may take some research to dig out the secrets to success but, if you are willing to put in the time you will find all of the secrets on the net without paying a fortune to some guru to give them to you.
Land Mine #4 Proof by testimonial. Many programs are promoted solely by testimonials. The problem is that you simply cannot trust them. In a test of subliminal tapes, the subjects were subjected to listen to classical music with no subliminal message, just the title on the tape. Fully 25% of the subjects showed improvement in the tapes title although there had been no message at all. No matter what the program, you will find people that are more than willing to give a testimonial because they think the product worked. If a program promotes itself without solid double-blind published testing, consider that it might be a landmine.
Land Mine #5 No solid refund program. If a product does not offer a refund program such as the one used by ClickBank the consider the possibility that you may be stepping on a Land Mine.
