There are several people out there that avoid going on blind dates, and really, who can blame them They aren't really something that many people look forward to, and mainly this is because most people would like to know there is some level of attraction or reason as to why you would want to spend time with the other person. When you go on a blind date, all of that goes out the window from the get go, from the moment you agree to the date you are out of control.
There are several reasons people dont like to go out on blind dates, but this is just one of them, perhaps though if you had a little more control over the date you may be a little more open to going on the date in the first place. So here we have put together a few things to help you feel more in control of the dating situation.
Escape route- As cold hearted as this sounds, in its own morbid way it does kind of make sense. What we are suggesting that you do here is go out on the planned blind date but be sure that you have your phone on you, or tell someone where you will be so that about 25-30 minutes into the date have someone call with an emergency and this way if things are going rough you have an open window to jump out of, explaining the phone call was a family or friend emergency and now you need to leave.
Keep it short and sweet- No one sad that your date had to be a day long event. When it comes to blind dates we do not recommend movies, concerts or anything that has a specific duration of time attached to it. This way when things are not going smoothly you can leave.
