Medifast Success Tips: Ways To Have The Most Success In The Easiest Way

I've lost quite a bit of weight onthis dietand I have a blog on which I share my story. I'm sometimescontacted by people who want to know my "secret" or how I've lost so much weight. I sometimes suspect that they think that maybe there is something special about me, or that I'm doing something that I'm not sharing, or am cheating in some way. At the end of the day though, I know from my own experience thatevery one just wants tofind a diet that they canlive with, as well as onethat really works. That was the case with me as well. And, believe mewhen I say that I've had my fair share of diet failures more than even I care to remember.Truly, there is nothing special aboutme or my experience. So, in this article, I'lltell youwhat you can do to have the most success on the medifast diet.

Don't Make It HarderThan It Needs To Be: There's Really No Catch: When Ifirst started medifast, I used to over think it so much, thinking there had to be catch that I was just not seeing. I was so afraid of doing something wrong. I would go on line and look up the people on the web site whohad lost sometimes as much as 100 pounds and try toglean their secrets or their strategies.

In truth, I was just making this harder than it needed to be. This diet works, in my opinion, because it is simple and well designed. You are given foods that are very low in calories and very high in protein. This combination ensures that you are using more calories than you are taking in (and this works every time.)

The fancy name for this high protein state is ketosis and I used to research this too, but again, you really don't need to know the hows and whys. Use your energy and time on something else and know that the doctors who designed this diet knew exactly what they were doing. You just need to consume the foods you were given and prepare and eat one main, healthful meal each day (called the "lean and green.") Again, resist over thinking this. It is just lean protein and veggies, you're not being asked to make an elaborate meal.

Find Out What Works Best For You And Stick With It: After a few weeks on this diet, I found that adding sugar free syrups, fat free whipped cream, and sometimes fat free sour cream and cheese to some of the foods helped add variety and made most of the foods taste pretty darn good.(And, thepudding canbe used to make some pretty decent muffins and cookies.) Again, I over worried this, thinking that I was going to mess up my results or that this was technically cheating.

But, after this little experiment, I had my best week of weight loss ever, so I decided it wasn't hurting me. Now, I realize that changing things up to my liking actually ensured I stuck with it, which is half the battle. Do what works for you, short of major cheating, of course. This is really a marathon, not a sprint, so don't be afraid to make the foods, andtheexperience, work for you.

Consider Moving More: When I was first on medifast, I was dead set against exercise. I've never been an athlete and probably never will be. But, when I started to see such nice results, I started having some sagging skin and flabby body parts which I felt I needed to address (drastic weight loss will do this, there is really no way around it.) Luckily, my body responded with only moving a bit more. At first, I just power walked. As my results increased steadily, I actually started to like it. Eventually I added ankle weights to my walks and now I wear a weight vest and this isn't too awful after all.

You can have fabulous results on medifast without having to exercise, but I've noticed that the folks with the greatest degree of success are at least willing to add more steps into their day and this is really not as hard, and is more enjoyable, than you might think.
