If you are one of them who hate the smell of spices, your husband's perfume, or some other smell that may suddenly make you become nauseous, try sniffing fresh lemon.

- Take saltine crackers after you wake up in the morning. Many women find magic in taking crackers before getting out of bed, which helps avoid the queasiness you may feel in the morning.

- Ginger can also help you get rid of the nauseous feeling. You may also want to take it with hot water or as ginger tea in the morning, or every time you are feeling nauseous. However, you have to listen to your body. Some women may not find ginger appealing for their morning sickness, so try to observe your reactions as well.

- Avoid greasy and fatty foods. These foods can increase your nauseous feeling and may trigger your morning nausea. It may also trigger heartburn that may also make you feel nauseated.

- Drink the recommended amount of water each day. Keeping yourself hydrated always will help you avoid nausea. You may want to find several ways to make yourself hydrated always. Find ways to add more fluid to your body. You may want to have some watery fruits like watermelon in your meals. Keep in mind that if you become dehydrated, the more likely you would feel nauseated.

- Avoid hot environments. Being in hot environments also triggers you to become nauseous too, so you may want to adjust your air-conditioning if the room is too hot for you.

- Get enough rest. Proper rest is important during your pregnancy and can be very helpful too in dealing with morning sickness. Tiredness can make your morning sickness worse, thus make sure you get the recommended eight hours a day sleep and take a nap if you have to.

Although your eating may be affected by your being nauseous in the morning, you need to find foods that will work for you. Of course, you cannot starve yourself just because you are feeling nauseous. In fact, an empty stomach can also trigger your being nauseous.
