That first step you took ushered in the era of what was called the personal computer revolution that led to even more developments, not only in the realm of technology but information and education as well. As an effect of your innovations, we have become a more enlightened society by having access to a new source of information.
I remember the childlike joy I felt over discovering how simplified the process of learning, and even working on something new became once I got my hands on my personal computer for the first time. And I continue to revel at the speed my children and grandchildren acquire information just by tinkering with their computers today -- something that you helped create.
Im sending you this thank you letter too because your accomplishments have served as bright signs of the great future ahead of us. You have demonstrated the potential that technology has in improving our lives and because of it I certainly have a brighter outlook on the years to come.
Thanks also for being one of the living proofs that success can be attained through hard work, perseverance, and taking chances. Making that risk to leave Harvard to start your own computer software company may not have been easy to do but you jumped in, confident in your own determination and talent that you would succeed.
