subject: Legal Translation Workers In Madrid Report On Planned Suicide Bombing Trial [print this page] Texas wasnt the only hotspot for Islamic terror activity this week. Legal Translation Service workers in Madrid, Spain reported on a trial that involved several men of Pakistani decent and convicted of plotting suicide attacks. The terror plan was thwarted by police last year when a member of the Taliban terror cell turned informant and alerted authorities. All suspects are claiming to be innocent of their charges.
When the story broke last year, it reminded all Spaniard of the terror bombings in 2004 that rocked Madrid by killing 200 people and injuring 2,000. While large quantities of explosive materials were not found by investigators, the terrorist cell had the man power, training materials and mechanical components needed to stage the suicide bombings. However, since little explosive material was found there have been doubts as to how ready the was to launch their planned attacks. In fact, the only explosive material that was retrieved by investigators came from emptying out several fireworks.
The Legal Translation workers indicated that the Islamic terrorists involved in the 2004 Madrid terror attack contributed their activities as revenge for the presence of Spanish peacekeepers in Iraq. Similarly, the foiled 2008 attack was in retaliation for Spain sending troops to Afghanistan.
