The baby girl, named Faith Margaret Kidman Urban, was born through a gestational carrier and is the biological daughter of Kidman and Urban, according to People magazine.
"Our family is truly blessed, and just so thankful, to have been given the gift of baby Faith Margaret," Kidman and Urban said in a statement.
"No words can adequately convey the incredible gratitude that we feel for everyone who was so supportive throughout this process, in particular our gestational carrier."

Publicists confirm the new arrival
Also the proud parents publicists released a statement saying, "Keith Urban, Nicole Kidman and their two-year old daughter Sunday Rose, today announced a new addition to their family, Faith Margaret Kidman Urban.
Born through a gestational carrier at Nashville's Centennial Womens Hospital on December 28, 2010, Faith Margaret is Urban and Kidman's biological daughter, the statement continues, as reported by USA Today.

Kidman is a top Hollywood actress whose movies include 'The Hours and the currently playing 'Rabbit Hole.'
Kidman and Urban were married in 2006 and have 2-year-old daughter together, Sunday Rose.
Kidman and her ex-husband Tom Cruise also adopted two children during their marriage, Isabella and Connor.
