subject: Easter Egg Hunt [print this page] Easter is here! My favourite time of the year, its the only time where I eat as much chocolate as I desire, then rest of the year my diet begins. Every year I hold an Easter egg hunt for the children on my street, the winners prize is a huge bunny rabbit soft teddy but so no one gets upset all children who participate receive a little goody bag.
As its a street egg hunt, all mothers of the children help to organise it. To make sure the adults dont get bored, we also organise an adult egg hunt but they dont get a soft toy , instead all they win is a hollow chocolate egg.
I have made a list of things I need to buy before we all sit down and plan where to hide all the eggs. My shopping list includes:
Mini eggs
Baskets
Snacks
Decorations
Goody Bag contents
Every year my list starts off very short but as the days go by it gets longer, by the end of the week its almost two pages long. This year we all decided it would be nice to dress up as a bunny rabbit or an egg, I chose to be a rabbit as I already have an outfit at home.
What I like most about this hunt is that it brings everyone together as a community, we all help in every way we can to make sure it is a fun day for everyone.
