Make Your Parcel Delivery as Simple as Possible

Parcel delivery can be a time consuming process. You have to be aware of a number of factors when considering having a parcel delivered. Will you be in? What time will it turn up? Will it arrive in a good state? These are all questions you need to ask when weighing up having a delivery of goods or services.

In this article we will try to look at how you can best manage the process from start to finish. One of the easiest ways to have a parcel delivered is to get it done on a Saturday as normally you can plan to potter around the house without a care for when the parcel man turns up. What you must consider however is the extra charges some companies will apply to any packages that are delivered on a Saturday, for example royal mail fees are up to 20% more to have a Saturday delivery.

If you cant have it delivered on a Saturday your best bet is to try and arrange for a family member to be in, this can sometimes be easy if you have a 16-18 year old in college as he or she may have free periods which you could schedule in to him or her being at home, ready for the package to arrive. For example if you know that for a whole term they are going to have Tuesday mornings off then you can plan to have packages arrive on a Tuesday morning as you can be confident your son or daughter may be free.

Another way can be to leave notes on your door for where the parcel can be delivered to, perhaps a neighbour or a nearby relative. I personally would not recommend this avenue as it is not secure from your end as local thieves may have a chance to manipulate this system of parcel delivery.
