Cyberspace is spotted with stars of different intensities. Some are shining; others dull. Some are virtuous; others evil. Trick is to avoid these evil stars while floating on the space. You should make an attempt to emerge unscathed out of online world. Keep a fair profile and don't indulge in anything unnecessary for it will turn against you later on.

You need to understand the seed of cyber bullying before getting into this article. There are people who take pleasure from irritating and torturing others. This world will never be short of sadists. These people, as soon as they lay hands on something important, start their operation. This can be anything from your personal details or your full image.

What Cyber Bullying turns you into?

Cyber bullies start by getting close to you through formal questions, some interesting anecdotes and venerable advices. Then, when you get into the habit of chatting or sharing mails with them, they will ask about your actual origin, status of your siblings, family and friends. If you are a teenager, there will be whole lot of suggestions coming your way. You may be encouraged to become member of many online sites and make specific readings of explicit sexual texts.

You may turn into a nymphomaniac or a killer, if the cyber bully is an impressive one. You will certainly not feel like getting off your PC. There may even be demands for financial inputs and sharing of bank secrets. You will begin to trust your bully so much that you will almost put yourself into his hand. That is when execution starts.

Cell phone harassment may seem harmless, but when you begin getting threatening calls at wee hours of the morning, or feel like someone is trailing you, you will feel the terror. Online stalking is also a vehement situation when you feel like being shadowed constantly. This happens mainly with those who remain on their webcam continuously.

Cyber bullying prevention

To prevent it from happening, stay safe while socializing on Facebook or MySpace. Don't be extra friendly even with close friends, or they may feel exposed. Don't indulge in sharing close secrets or your whereabouts and encourage others to take this precaution as well. Don't let a single person dominate your interactions on every id.

Ignoring cyber bullies for a long time, say, a month is a great way to make it known that you are not for keeps. Always keep your parents in the know if something awkward happens. Otherwise, you may become a loner and a person shorn of confidence. You may also report to authorities concerning Cyber bullying. There are Cyber bullying campaigns for awareness as well.
