Magnetic Mental Control Card Trick

In order to perform the following very simple card trick, two decks of playing cards are needed. One of the packs must have blue backs, unprepared, andf the other having red backs, which should be prepared as follows: take 26 red backed cards and 26 blue-backed cards and arrange these up alternately to produce a typical fifty-two card pack. Roughen the faces of all the red cards plus the backs of the blue cards so when the cards are distributed, only the red backs may show. Once you've prepared it using this method, the pack could be fanned, spread on the table and also shuffled with the overhand technique and never having to show the blue-backed cards. Soon after this, you may take the bottom card of the pack, which will be a rough-backed blue card, and set it over the unprepared blue deck.

So just how exactly does this strategy work? Take the blue pack from its package, fan it as to show the card faces and their blue backs and remove the Joker. After this, take the red pack out of its package and repeat exactly the same process just like the blue pack. Then, set the red deck down and grab the blue faced cards, mix the top card in the centre, then remove it without enabling anyone to discover what the card is, place it over the red deck and make one cut. Carrying out this would the card with the rough blue back to its partner, the card with the red roughened face. Your audience's perception so far will be that you have merely eliminated a blue card from the blue backed deck and have introduced it in the red pack and have hidden it using a cut and you next shuffle the reds with their faces to the front.

Your next step is usually to spread these cars on the table, face up, and invite someone from the audience to touch one of the cards, then cut the deck at that exact same card, slide it out from the fan and hand it to the person from the audience, face up. This card will be a blue backed card. Then, question the spectator if he had a free option, and ask him to turn the card over. When you turn the rest of the cards and fan them, your audience will be able to identify that they are all red backed cards. Your spectator will be astonished to see that he has found the same blue card you had just taken in the red deck.
