I was very excited the day that I found out that companies would actually pay me to allow them to advertise on my website. I run a local news website that keeps people in my area informed about the very local stories going on in their community. The site is able to generate a good amount of traffic, but I never thought of it as a money making enterprise. That is to say until I started using search engine optimisation to generate even more business to my site. Once I started doing that, then all bets were off.
Using Google adwords , I am able to find marketers that are interested in placing ads on websites. Those people will pay you per click on their ad just for placing the ad on your site. The whole process is no trouble for me since I am just letting them take up space on my site. As long as people continue to come to the site, then it is likely that they are going to click on some of the ads. Every time that they do, I find that I generate money for myself.
Since the time that I found this out, I have been increasing my search engine marketing to try to generate even more traffic for my site. By doing so, I am bringing in more people who are clicking more ads and thus making me more money through Google adwords . The whole thing has been a very exciting and profitable experience for me.
