Pin Windows Update to the Taskbar or Start Menu in Windows 7

I think maybe most of users will know how to create a shortcut of Windows Update, but not every one will know how to pin it to the Taskbar or Start Menu...Today we will take a look at how to achieve it in Windows 7.

On the first step, go to the Start All Programs and right-click Windows Update. While holding down the right mouse button, drag it over to the desktop.

Then select "Create shortcuts here" when you release the right mouse button.

Right-click the Windows Update shortcut and select "Properties".

In Window Update Properties window, select the "Shortcut" tab and type in or copy the following into the Target box. If you don't want to see the command window open up briefly when you launch it, change the Run dropdown menu to Minimized, then click Apply and Ok.

cmd /c wuapp.exe

Now you can drag the shortcut icon to the taskbar and pin it.

That is what you need to do! Now you have it pinned to the Taskbar and you can use it like anything else you would have pinned there.

Also you can pin it to the Start menu as well.

Is it easy for you? Just have a try!
