Step 1 Go to Start, select Run and input regedit, and then click OK to open the Registry Editor.
Step 2 In the Registry Editor, find out the key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetControlClass{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
Step 3 Find "UpperFilters" and "LowerFilters"(and "UpperFilters.bak", "LowerFilters.bak", if they exist), delete them.
Step 4 Exist the Registry Editor and restart your PC.
Step 5 Reinstall any CD/DVD applications you have if they begin to work completely after performing the steps above.
