Institute of Coal Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences assumed Syngas mixed alcohol synthesis catalyst and supporting new technology project has made breakthroughs in the pilot plant has been completed 1200 hours of stable operation.

The success of the pilot plant operation,fine chemicals, for the synthesis of mixed alcohol Syngas-ton model has laid a solid industrial foundation, and has replaced the industrial methanol process technology applications. Crude oil supplies become tighter in recent years, alternative fuels and methanol in the context of the market downturn, the technology is expected to be a lower oil dependency, to avoid an important way to market risk methanol.

The technology uses a new copper and iron-based catalyst at a temperature of 200 ~ 260 , pressure 4.0 ~ 6.0MPa under mild reaction conditions, CO conversion rate of over 80%, 50% higher alcohol selectivity,Octylferrocene, low-carbon hybrid space time yield of alcohols more than 0.23, the process performance indicators to achieve the leading level.

The project is within the field of clean energy alternative to high noble metal catalyzed synthesis gas conversion technology, with a catalyst for low-cost, high atom economy and the operational feasibility and other characteristics. In the Ministry of Science, "973" project, Foundation of major projects, Henan Coal Chemical Industry Group and the Dutch Shell's support, R & D team instead of the traditional high temperature and pressure of the harsh reaction conditions and the use of the high cost of precious metals technology, developed by the directional syngas mixture of alcohol and high value-added chemical fuel additive technology line, in the lower reaction pressure and temperature to obtain a higher yield and alcohol alcohol selectivity,Octylferrocene price, to achieve the low-carbon and efficient conversion of synthesis gas.
