subject: Gadgetell Review: Aligata Leather Case For The Ipad [print this page] What exactly is being reviewed? What exactly is being reviewed?
Up for review (and a great overdue review at that) will be the Nude Beauty, and even though that name alone may sound a little erotic, this is just in a situation for that iPad. The truth comes courtesy of Aligata and retails for $79.90. That said, the disclaimer, Aligata provided the case to us for review, however keep in mind which has a reviewthe viewpoints are all ours.
The specs
Even though the specs looks like an unusual strategy to use into an iPad case review, in such cases it almost applies. Well, maybe not specs, however the material it's made from, that is certainly handmade of natural grain bovine iPad leather. At the same time, the Aligata Ipad leather case is noted as not using any dyes, colors or chemicals to achieve an un-fooled-around with leather in their most basic state of beauty and appearance.
My thoughts
The Aligata Nude Beauty Leather Envelope lacks the logos on it whatsoever, so other than along with changes the leather will undergo, the stitching is truly the focus. The Nude Beauty includes white stitching, however you are now able to get custom color stitching from Aligata in brown, green, orange, yellow, red, blue or black for a small additional charge. If you (or a friend) are searching for a beautiful case to attempt leather tooling or stamping upon, this is excellent!
This sleeve will protect the iPad from bumps, dings and scratches once the iPad is inside, but of course removing the iPad will mean that its fully exposed; my suggestion would be to install a good screen protector and maybe an ornamental (and protective) adhesive skin around the back and then call it good.
If you want the storyline that organic iPad leather has to tell, if you want watching natural leather change because it grows more gorgeous as they age, and when you want carrying your iPad in a protective case but with all the iPad that suits you full and unfettered access then the Aligata Nude Beauty Leather Envelope may perhaps be your perfect solution. It is beautiful, protective, and moderately priced.
The bottom line
If you want an all natural leather look, desire a folio style case and have an extra $80 laying around then this is thought to be a great substitute for at the least consider. I have tried personally this case off and on for a couple months now and can say it is long lasting, protects the iPad well and maybe more important really nice looking. And it also has that great leather smell.
