For a lot of individuals, a network marketing career is the ultimate life challenge. Many failed distributors claim to have lost life fortunes. Doesnt mean these are valid stories, just that it is something commonly related that bears more analysis.

But it is true that many associates struggle in the network marketing industry and that most fail. Is it possible that many have underestimated the task? Industry trainer Tim Sales believes this to be true. He correctly calls network marketing a profession, and points out that every other profession has rigorous training and education requirements.

What are the requirements for network marketing education and training, needed to get involved in the profession. Sadly, the particulars haven't been defined. Some have taken on the challenge, including Dr. Charles King, author of The New Professionals The Rise of Network Marketing as the Next Profession, and who has developed educational courses in network marketing at the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Does this industry training vacuum explain the failure of countless new distributors? We think so as do many industry professionals. If it takes years of study to enter most professions, why do we consider the network marketing profession to be different? Is the Distributor Kit, really satisfactory for truly professional network marketing training? How can anyone possibly presume to realize their dreams and residual income streams, especially when the training generally provided by companies is dated to what worked in the early days of network marketing?

Today's professional network marketer is faced with not only new challenges, but a continuously changing environment. The challenges today include the rapidly evolving Internet with all of its social networks, bookmark sites, blogs, tweets, and tags, etc. Network marketing companies have only recently started to recognize techniques that have worked productively for years in the profession of internet marketing.

What the new associate is faced with in the present day is an daunting assortment of tools that seems to be beyond his or her reach technologically. It is near impossible to make sense or leverage this environment that is at the same time abounding with fraudulent offers and scams. Where can the novice turn for truly useful advice?

One dangerous aspect of most network marketing training is the supposition that a persons sponsor will be the source of all needed network marketing training. How many sponsors have the expertise to be able to provide the level of training needed? Obviously not a large percentage, especially since for most the extent of network marketing training theyve been exposed to is a distributor kit.

The answer for generating residual income streams through a network marketing business depends on getting effective training. In fact, there are clearly a large number of successes in network marketing even with a large percentage of failures.
