Socially Responsible Business that still gets you PAID

Charity Starts at Home.

The mindset to give doesn't just hit you because you are an adult nor is it a childhood trait that is lost as you near adulthood. What is the difference in reaction to the commercial with the small African baby with the flies all around he now in comparison to when you were a kid?? As a kid you want to are concerned and want to give every penny you have, as a teen you quickly change the channel to something more interesting, and as an adult, you barely even recognize that it is on, you may even sit there and watch the whole thing and not think twice about it.

The mindset to give, whether monetarily or time wise (yes, some still do volunteer) is something that comes from past memories. As a child did you have pre-assigned responsibilities for your allowance? If your parents had ever heard of Suzy Orman, you would have had 3 jars; Savings, Charity, and Spending. This would have been a cornerstone I your decision to give back to society and help others. Maybe Suzy wasn't present in your home and but you firmly remember giving to a local charity or helping out during the holidays. Should you happen to be a parent, what type of memories are you creating? Are you leading by example?

Ways to give back that Kick-Ass!

Start a scholarship at your alma-mater, local high school, or place of worship. It is really easier that you think. Just speak to the person in charge of donation or the youth group and tell them your plan. You would like to give $500 to the Student that creates and follows through with the most creative business plan. A little cash or position can go a long way.

Are you an artist yourself? Look back on the youth coming up in your footsteps and offer to assist one at your old high school. Many printing companies run pints starting at 5000 for only $125. Imagine as a young adrenaline filled artist, someone offering to print up 5000 flyers with your design, service, or skill on display.

Do you own a venue? How about a battle of the bands? The best high school groups from across the county? How could the marketing of that help your business?

Too often we say that, "Man, I wish things were better." Well here is your chance. Talk to your boss about arranging a charity event for your company and give the proceeds to someone who otherwise would not have gotten a chance to go to school, or is already in school and is in danger of dropping out due to funds. Set requirements for that student as far as GPA and arrange for the money to be given on a semester basis.

Everyone that knows me knows that I greatly respect those that lead by example. Those that make a difference simply because they wanted to. TLS is currently working on a program very similar to the one mentioned above. My alma matter is Florida A& M University, and together we are working on a scholarship for the Students in the School of Business. The ones that did not or could not get into the 5-year MBA program. I was one of these students I know how sometimes we were looked down upon by other students. Since the release of my book, The LiquidSalesman. in August of 2006, I have seen a change in peoples face when they hear that I am an internationally published author. Well I feel pretty accomplished at this point so have decided to not only donate funds myself but to also collect money to be added to the pot. Why help one when you can help two? To find out more on my Scholarship Fund, or just to say "Hey.", contact me at Errol@TLSlive.com or www.TLSlive.com

I have hopefully dropped a few seeds of growth into your mind. Maybe helping others isn't your thing, maybe you cannot afford to right now, but should the opportunity ever arise, maybe, just maybe this article will come to mind.

The LiquidSalesman.
