First get your self a squeeze page offering something that has value to some one how lands on that page, so for an example if your in the dog market then offer the people who land on your squeeze page a free report on dog training are a free ebook some thing that is going to make them put there name and email address in to your squeeze page, so in return for there name and email you give them this free report or an ebook.
So once you have them on your list you can send them out emails with other free stuff to keep them on your email list so they wont unsubscribe for it, and once you build a good relationship with your list you can send them out offers and if they like what your offering then they will buy it, remember don't try to sell to your list once they join you because people don't like to be sold to.

Blogging is where you go to other blogs that are in the same market as you and comment on the posts that people put up on there blog and make sure its good value so people will click on your link and go back to your site. Don't write some thing like great blog check out my site, because if you do some thing like this the blog owner will not approve you post and it will be a waste off your time.
Forums
find forums in the same market as your in. example ( go to Google and type in list off dog forums are the market your in and that's how you get the top list off forums. Go to the forums and post your comments just like the blogs and your link at the bottom off each post you put up and it will get approved there and then. I have had good success this way so I highly recommend you do this.
Write articles. Write an article about 400 to 500 words and give people some good advice on the market your in remember all ways give people good value in an article so they keep coming back to read what you have to say
