A funny salsa video has recently been produced by an Irish company who won the O2 Telefonica Sales Pitch Award in 2010. The company is Tradesmen.ie and the video features Oliver Dempsey as Olivierio Dempsiero wannabee salsa teacher, Tanja La Alemana as the student and Jorge Burgos as the 'real' salsa acher. The clip takes a different approach to some of the earlier funny clips produced by Tradesmen.ie and features Tanja being taught by the awkward, bumbling teacher, Olivierio until eventually she is rescued by Jorge who comes in and 'saves' her from the clutches of Oliviero.
There are a few comical incidents where Oliviero steps on Tanja's toes, gives her an elbow in the face as well as dropping her on the ground (All carefully choreographed of course!). When Oliviero steps out of the room to get a drink, Tanja spots the Tradesmen.ie poster on the ground and she gets an idea to ring a new teacher. Within minutes Jorge arrives to save the day. Jorge and Tanya are well known Salsa and Bachata dance teachers and have travelled the world performing at numerous Bachata and Salsa events including: Poland, France, Belgium, Bermuda, England, and all over the United States. Jorge and Tanya have even performed for Bachata artists such as Toby Love and Xtreme.
The video was filmed during their recent visit to Europe for the Cuban Salsa Ireland Bachata workshops and the London UK Sexy Latin Dance Festival. The video was shot at Afrimania dance studios in Dublin and it was edited by Bill Tyson. Cuban Salsa Irelandplayed an important part in helping this wonderful production to come together.
