First of all, it comes to the weight of the eyeglasses. Except for the material of the lens themselves, the whole weight of the pair of glasses depends on the frames. Well, maybe in most people's opinion, those frames made of metal must be much heavier than those plastic ones. However, that usually is not the fact. It is simply because generally speaking, theeyeglasses made of plastic are in most cases much bigger in bulk than those metal ones. And as a result of that, a relatively large number of the plastic glasses are heavier than the metal ones. Since we know the heavier the glasses are, the more pressure there will be on our noses. As what we want is the less pressure, the better, in this way, the thin and fine metal ones are more satisfactory for us.

Then, it is the daily care of the two kinds of frames. Judging from this aspect, the plastic ones have more advantages. That is because of the origin characters of the two different materials. As we all know, metal is more easily to get ruined or rusted than plastic, so in wet days especially the hot summer, you may have find out some rust in the outside of your metal frames where gets touch with your skin that is sweat. From this point of view, plastic ones are much better than metal ones since they do not have the rust problems. The last matter is the whole design of the glasses. Metal frames may seem much gentler while those plastic ones are more fashionable and modern. Of course, different people have different tastes and people may prefer different kinds of materials. We may also choose different materials according to different seasons. Well, this actually depends on your needs. Now, just come back to our topic about the choice between metal and plastic frames. In a word, it just depends on your need and how the frames look like on your face. Both of the two frames have their advantages and disadvantages and maybe we could prepare both of them and have a change when necessary.
