Nobody can accuse Paris Hilton of being lazy. While she may have first leapt into the public eye as a hotel heiress who turned up at all the glitzy parties, befriended all of the stars and was always happy to smile and pose for the paparazzi, Paris Hilton has long since surpassed the label of 'being famous for being famous'.
Since achieving her spot in the high life, Hilton has played her part as a writer, designer, actor and musician and is respected widely in the entertainment industry. She is famously referred to by talk show host Ellen Degeneres as "my BFF Paris Hilton" and is appreciated for her charitable work, particularly her efforts to help animals in need by encouraging people to adopt animals from shelters rather than buy pets from breeders. While she readily admits that she plays up to the dumb girl faade for the media, Paris is by no means little other than a pretty face: she is a sharp businesswoman who knows how to work the market and the media in her favour.
One of Paris' most recent announcements is that of the upcoming release of her second studio album. Her first record met with some acclaim and featured a range of famous guest stars like Scott Storch. This time around, Paris is hitting the studio once more and hopes to release her second album by the end of summer. The release would come a full four years after her first effort, but Paris has been busy starring in various movie roles and, of course, attending parties in between.
One particular film role that showed off Paris' vocal abilities was the horror musical Repo: The Genetic Opera, which also starred Buffy's Anthony Stewart Head. In the film, Paris played an heiress who was, ironically to some critics, addicted to plastic surgery. Reviews for the film were mixed, but it certainly garnered some good response and has a small cult following.
When she's not working on her music, Paris Hilton is known to hunt down some great new friends she can trust - while making a quick buck at the same time, that is. You can catch Paris Hilton's BFF shows with your Sky TV offers and see who the heiress selects next to be her top confidante. If one thing's for sure, you'll find out how far people are willing to go to be pals with the pink-loving Paris - and which ones Paris tells "TTYN" - talk to you never!
