Thus, most ends up hiding in shame, changing clothes, and avoiding raising arms because wet stains might juts appear in the armpit. Excessive sweating armpit is a medical ailment referring to sweating armpit profusely. It is also called axillary hyperhidrosis, a common form of excessive sweating disorder suffered by both men and women. Sweating as part of normal functions of the body is a way of removing unwanted toxins. It keeps a balance regulation of heat within. But when this becomes too heavy and unpredictable, it calls for medical attention and proper treatment. This may mean an abnormality in the activity of the sweat glands as controlled by the sympathetic nervous system. Malfunctioning of sweat glands causes sweating in most common localized areas like the armpit.

Like every other unraveled truth, there are causes why and how people from teenagers to adults get the condition. Factors affecting the sweat glands functions include body system and lifestyle factors. The body system factors are genes, hormones and nervous system. Genetic disorder like axillary hyperhidrosis may be carried down through generations. Hormonal changes in adolescents can cause it too. Nervous system when working uncontrollably leads to the disorder.

The lifestyle factors include eating too much fatty foods, exhausting the body from physical works and stressing a lot. Weight is an important factor especially when excess intake of fats is not monitored. Smoking, alcohol and caffeine in great amounts may severely induce the abnormal sweating. Physical exhaustion can cause heavy perspiration also. Lastly, emotional stress from feeling anger, pain and sadness can trigger excessive sweating armpit.

The sight of extreme sweat stains in the armpit, bad odor and uncomfortable sticky feeling may result from heavy sweating. It may lead to annoyance and inconvenience while doing things everyday. People afflicted with this disorder also develop skin infections and dehydration.

Moreover, worse issues can come out of this medical ailment like psychological effects. Enduring embarrassment, lowered self-esteem and changing normal interactions may also deprive people of normal life.
