College life: How to reduce stress?

At any point of their college life some students will get stress, but dont worry thats part of the process. Here we have some tips that can help you to learn how to keep your stress in check and how to relax when it gets to be too much.

1-Exercise: You may think that with all the classes, home works, and exams, it will be impossible to do it. But that is not true, Im not talking about spending 2 hours at the gym. I mean a relaxing, 30-minute walk while listening to your favorite music. Just imagine how much better you will feel!

2-Take a nap: When in college your sleep schedule is not the ideal. Getting more sleep can help your mind refocus, recharge, and rebalance. You can do it by going bed earlier or schedule a quick nap regularly.

3-Eat properly: Your eating habits may have gone by the wayside when you started school. Sometimes stress is not something psychological, you could also be feeling physical stress, which happens because youre not eating properly. First you need to choose an eating plan that better fits you, which also include something balanced and healthy, such as: fruits and veggies, whole grains, and protein.

4-Have fun: There are several things that cause stress, it could be a final paper. If this is the case, try to figure out how to make it a little more fun and enjoyable. For example you can join other students and work together for about 2 hours, then order pizza or something for dinner, or watch your favorite movie. This will lower everyone's stress level.

5-Ask for help: For some people that can be hard, but its something completely normal. Most college students are going through the same things and at the same time. So it will be important to go and talk with a friend and share your experiences and concerns. If you dont feel comfortable talking with a friend, go to your college counseling center and make an appointment.

6-Dont think too much about being stress: This may seem ridiculous at first, but is one of the reasons why students get more stressed out. T he first and the best thing to do in order to get unstressed is, admit it and figure out how to handle it. Focusing on it will only make things seem worse.

As a summary: dont think about stress, exercise, eat and sleep properly. But the most important is, Go to college.
