What are Posi-Talk Affirmations? When people hear the term "posi-talk affirmations," they aren't sure what to think exactly. People unfamiliar with the term wonder what exactly are posi-talk affirmations? Posi-talk affirmations are simple short statements that you can consistently repeat to yourself in 1st person, (I am), 2nd person, (You are) and 3rd person, (He/She is). Affirmations have been shown to be an amazing tool to transform your life for the better. Going beyond the usual way of just saying "I am" increases the meaning of each phrase and the power that it has to operate in your life. Your happiness in life is determined by your thoughts and your subconscious mind. By filling your mind with affirmations, you can replace your previous habits of negative thinking with new positive energy that can lead to amazing results. Believe it or not, most of us have probably used some primitive forms of affirmations in our lives and not even realized it. Have you ever found yourself repeating to yourself "I can do this" when trying to complete a difficult task? These sorts of statements are almost second nature to students taking a test or athletes aiming for peak performance. At the heart of any posi-talk affirmation is a positive belief that you can achieve a given goal. Posi-talk affirmations help people foster a positive frame of mind. It is as simple as repeating a certain positive phrase to yourself. You also write that phrase down repeatedly. Clearly, you must believe that something is possible before it can become reality. You need to believe it before you will see it. This is where posi-talk affirmations come into play. Posi-talk affirmations are not "murky" or "mysterious." They are tools designed to help you overcome fears, retrain your thinking and believe in yourself and your own potential. If you believe that a given task is completely impossible, then you are clearly correct. If you are filling your mind and subconscious with negative statements, it will be more difficult to achieve your goals. Take the example of a man who is interested in asking a woman out on a date. If he believes that she never go on a date with him in a million years, he won't bother asking her. His negative thoughts led to him not taking positive action and of course, his hopes will not materialize. On the other hand, if he had used positive affirmations, he would have been giving his subconscious mind input like, "I am an attractive, desirable man," and "you have confidence in yourself," and "he easily starts conversations with women". As a result, he would have likely asked her on the date and there is a good chance she would have said yes. This is just one example of how the technique of using positive affirmations enables people to not only become happier but also to have more enjoyable experiences. If you have never used posi-talk affirmations before, using them may seem a bit odd at first. There is nothing wrong or odd about believing in your own potential and your own abilities. You should feel free to embrace posi-talk affirmations and incorporate them into your daily life and routine. When you first start using affirmations, it is important to use them frequently and commit to using them for at least a few weeks. It takes time to change our mental patterns. Posi-talk affirmations should help guide and steer you towards the positive outcome you desire. With a little practice they will become second nature and begin reshaping your reality for the better. You will find that your attitude and outlook will change and it will follow that your actions will make your life better.
