A heat pump actually takes advantage of how nature does its job. Heat normally travels from a high temperature area towards a low temperature area, with this in mind, the pump is there to manipulate how it works wherein, it can successfully divert the flow of heat towards any direction. This allows the pump to gather heat from a source such as the air, the surroundings and even the earth and then transport that heat to a location or a heat sink. In reverse mode, the pump can absorb heat from the interior of a home and then transport it outside. The pump can even be used for water heating and refrigeration as well.

As with most heating systems, electricity is needed to make it work. But this system works very differently with the heat pumps. As you might know, heat generation using electricity like stoves, dryers, flat irons and etc. consume the most amount of energy. The same thing goes for indoor heaters; these devices usually consume about twenty to forty Kilo Watts in order to produce a hundred Kilo Watts of electricity. The heat pump however works differently by producing the same amount of heat by using up only a minute amount of three to ten Kilo Watt hours of electricity. Installation heat pump are a very great product indeed.
