My favorite celebrities in an evening dress are typically Elizabeth Hurley, Charlize Theron and Kate Beckinsale. They rarely disappoint with their style and fashion sense. I tend to look for evening dresses that compliment a woman's body well. I like to see an evening dress that allows for either cleavage or displaying a modest amount of legs. I find it a crime for a woman to strap on a beautiful pair of high heels only to have a long evening dress cover them up. If a woman does choose to wear a long evening dress then there should be a modest display of cleavage. There should be one or the other to garner the proper attention.
Age appropriate evening dresses should be worn as well. Younger women tend to fine in short evening dresses. More mature women typically look nicer in longer dresses. Obviously the shape of your body has a lot lot do with the proper evening dress as well. If you have toned and fit legs then by all means you would be best served to wear a dress that is mid length or shorter. If you have a small bosom then trying to squeeze some measure of cleavage together will just look uncomfortable.
