The iPhone 4 provides a 5 megapixel camera as does the HTC Desire alongside a flash for light enhancement also. The 3.5 inch screen is relatively large in comparison to most other mobiles, although the Desire has a slightly larger 3.7 inch display to offer. The handsets each have a 5 megapixel camera which allows you to capture great moments in either images or videos, with the iPhone offering High Definition video recording at 720 pixel resolution, something offered by the Desire HD and new HTC phones on the Windows Phone 7 operating system respectively.

The iPhone 4 provides a full iPod for you to listen to your music having found it easily through the cover flow album interface featuring album artwork to allow you to flick through and find the tunes you want. Similarly the Desire also puts all of your tracks into the Music widget which also provides an easy to use interface and album artwork along with the simple touch parameters offered by the touch sensitive display. The iTunes store on the iPhone also allows you to download further music for you to enjoy, while you can also download dedicated radio apps to listen to your favourite stations, whereas the Desire features an integrated FM stereo radio.

While the iPhone runs the iOS 4 operating system which enables you to multitask running multiple apps at once and leaving an app to go elsewhere, before returning to it as it was when you left. This means that you can reply to a text message and then return to the email you were composing. The Desire as with other HTC phones also offers such multitasking, made largely possible by the hardware offered respectively.

The iPhone 4 is a well-designed handset featuring a new look with a more robust body and now also offering both a front facing camera for video calling as well as its main camera, now enhanced by a flash. This is similar to the HTC Desire which also offers a 5 megapixel camera for image and video capture with a flash for light enhancement, although offering standard rather than HD video recording.
