Next to the picture quality of my purchase decision was based primarily on appearance.
This is one of the best TV out there for the price - a sub $ 1000 LCD HDTV is an excellent price. For this look, this TV is absolutely amazing, I realized that the birth of television. Because of limited space I had to go to "42 model, but a 47" (LG 47SL80) or, alternatively, the LED (LG 47SL90), natural area with the highest price.
I have this TV now for about a month, after a brief summary of my experiences so far. the main use of television is connected to a HDTV set-top boxes (Fios), upscaling DVD and Wii game console (regular). I have not tried the TV tuner capability, but still.
A:
Wide-screen ("without borders" / non-design)
Very thin design
-Easy to install, easy to integrate drivers
Comprehensive menu well organized with a very large number of settings
-Excellent picture quality HD images with smooth, crisp
-Relatively good sound quality at a very thin line of LCD, I would recommend an external sound though
-Manual on CD (some prefer a paper version, I like the search capabilities of electronic documents, required only once)
Swivel-
good range of input
Cons:
-No analog audio output (eg, headphones or external sound-bar/speakers)? Digital only
Some reflection high ambient light with a shiny glass screen (which makes the show so much) - make sure that the place may be less lighting or use in a dark room with less direct sunlight
True-Motion is a marketing trick (the default, as "low", but decided to turn it off as more than help distract movement Blurr)
standard-definition image quality as good as competitors, but still acceptable.
There have been reports of audio / video level problems of the previous version of firmware on the TV, I have not had any problems.
To achieve more natural film-like look of the film and to suppress "TV-like" I feel I would also recommend to enable "Real Cinema" mode, and options for color temperature "warm". Obviously, these are personal preferences.
Overall I would recommend buying this TV, is apparently very good image definition and a good price.

Great product; hope sound/video quality fixed tomorrow
Received the product seven days as promised. No problem with assembly. One problem; sound lags picture as many reviewed prior. Called customer services within 24 hours of receipt and promised service between 8:00 and 12:00, noon tomorrow. Very happy with the service thus far. It was indicated that I should have an update applied tomorrow that should correct the audio/vidio problem. This is the reason for the 4 1/2 construction quality.
Technician arrived approximately 24 hours from reporting my problem. He applied a program patch to the TV using the USB port. The fix was applied in about five-minutes. Perfect picture/sound. I would rate the TV five stars now.
