subject: Spirit Not Religion [print this page] Nearly four years ago, LRC made a turn that had consequences we could not know or see. Looking back with at least 30-30 vision, the cloudy unknowns are becoming a bit clearer. The journey has many more turns that will lead us into unknown territory; however, the road we're on is taking us home. In essence, we're moving from RELIGION to SPIRIT. Can you have both? Sure, but the mix can get pretty testy. The old LRC (Liberty Revival Church) was an exciting church. It wasn't bad or wrong, it was just a phase of the journey. The new LRC (Life Revealing Community) still has many of the same names of people though they don't look the same; neither are they the same. The old LRC served us well. It was a fun season. Many friendships were developed and lots of "good works" were done. We studied the Bible in detail. We put on conferences galore. I can't believe that we once did a ten day-night conference with seven different speakers, and got people to come. We did all the CHURCH things There's a time-n-season for many things. No metaphor tells the whole picture; however, I'd say that we've moved into SPRING. So many things are NEW, FRESH, and ALIVE! Were now a COMMUNITY, not a CHURCH. Some externals may look like church; however, once you put your toe in the water you know its different. We're now law-abiding without that being the goal: it's just a bi-product of understanding how deeply we're under GRACE and how much we're in LOVE with ALL. In the presence of the ONE, there's no need for LAW- just LOVE! Are you feeling LOVED?
