subject: Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ5 Review [print this page] Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ5 A 3-inch 460,00-dot super high resolution LCD paired up with 9.1 mega-pixels makes up the DMC-TZ5 from Panasonic. The brilliant LCD is great for viewing and monitoring shots in detail as well as playing back video in thumbnails as small as 30-split. This smart LCD has a function that detects when lighting is bright and adjusts itself for better viewing. The LCD also recognizes when it is too dark and increases the brightness of the display. All of the functions the LCD implores don't drain the battery either. Panasonic improved the battery life on this camera from previous DMC series cameras, this one can take 300 photos on one charge. This camera is powered by a lithium ion battery that is rechargeable. The camera has a great lens too that zooms in 10x on whatever you are taking a picture of and the image stabilization works great. The camera is quality built made mostly of metal except for the door to the memory card. This camera is definitely point and shoot and also very easily operated with just one hand. The HD video you shot with this camera is better than other cameras with the same capability. There only a few problems with this camera like the slow lens but those things are acceptable because of the picture quality you get from this camera.
