subject: Why Milk Is Not The Best Calcium For Children [print this page] Hi. My name is Rene with Reality of Aging and today's subject is going to be on protein powders and protein bars. Do they really work? Well, I'm going to let you know.
I've been in this industry for 30 years, in the health and fitness industry, and I can honestly tell you, I've seen things come and go, and the number one thing that has been a complete failure across the board in 30 years are protein powders and protein bars.
Just so you know, all protein bars you might as well eat a Snickers bar. There's not enough nutritional value to say that eating a Snickers bar isn't just as good. So, just wipe that out. No more protein bars.
Now, protein powders, they have made me feel very bloated. Obviously, because of that, there's been some digestion problems. I've never had a good outcome.
Now, the reason why this stands to be is because, first of all, the FDA only governs food and drugs. Since all nutritional products are not a food and they're not a drug, they fall between the cracks.
So, they can basically label things and say things outrageous things that aren't true. And I can honestly tell you, I religiously used protein powders and I religiously ate protein bars, and I only got fat from them, and I had digestion problems.
So, don't ever use protein powders. Don't ever use protein bars. Eat real protein; chicken, fish, pork, beef, lamb if you want. But, whatever you do, you don't eat protein powders. Don't have protein shakes and don't eat protein bars because they just do not work. They make you fat and they make you bloated.
As simple as I can put it, they're lying to you. So, let me know what you think.
