One of the best things I have done in the last ten years or so is buy a cheap shower filter. First of all, I was amazed at just how cheap the thing actually was. What, I paid about thirty dollars for it? It snapped right on, too--I did not need any handyman or handywoman to help me. And the water coming out of the shower feels so much better now. It looks clearer and feels softer so taking a shower was one highlight of the day. Best of all, I do not smell anything funny in the water anymore and my hair and skin have not been this soft and moist since I was a baby. I used to get these ugly blotches on my leg, too, and I would buy lotions to get rid of them. Well, guess what? No more blotches. They've all up and disappeared on their own. And that gave me something else to think about. Why, the money I saved on cream for my skin every month or so pays for the initial investment of the shower head many, many times over. Oh, and I do not sneeze as much nowadays either and this is probably because the chlorine level was reduced. I have the most unblocked nasal passages I've had as an adult. I think I'm going to get a bunch of cheap shower filters for my friends at Christmas, maybe even for my Secret Santa partner at work whether it is a man or a woman. I wonder if I could bring this thing on vacation with me?
