Motorola Defy: The Ultimate Smart Phone

One of Motorola's latest ventures is the Motorola Defy which houses an amazingly diverse set of features making it a buyer's dream. This mobile phone, which was announced in September 2010, has been made available since its release in October.

In keeping with its name, the Motorola Defy truly defies the norm and along with its sleek and smart design it is tough and can withstand shock and dust. A locking mechanism in the battery cover keeps out water from the battery, microSD and sim card chambers. It houses a TFT capacitive touchscreen with protective Gorilla Glass display; controls which are touch sensitive MOTOBLUR UI, an accelerometer which senses auto rotation and a proximity sensor. It supports unlimited entries in the phonebook and call records. The internal memory of this mobile phone is of 2GB with 512MB RAM extendable up to 32 GB. The device sports a 5 MP camera with autofocus and LED flash with image stabilization and geo- tagging options.

It works on the Android 2.1 instead of the more recent 2.2 version- but this is the only glitch that one can think of. The phone has an 800 MHz CPU, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP, microUSB 2.0 as its other features. There can also be found a digital compass; Facebook, Twitter, My Space integration, Google Maps, Google Search, You Tube, Gmail, a document viewer, a photo editor and voice memo/ dials/ commands among other features. The standby battery life is up to 238 hours and talktime up to 6 hours 48 minutes.

Being resilient and housing the latest smart phone features along with a sharp display and sleek look, it fulfils nearly every requirement. Available in black and white colours, Motorola Defy is out in the market, ready to be owned.
