Texas Hold Em Tips 1st Secret Tip You'll Never Forget

When I found out about it I couldn't believe it. I sat with a calculator and did sums to double check and it is in fact pretty darn close. The secret tip is this. When the flop has come, so there are three cards on the board, and you are waiting for the turn, if you just add up all your outs (which are the cards you need to win) and multiply them by four, then you will have the percentage chance of getting those cards.

So if you have 9 outs that's a 36% chance you will get it!

Texas Hold Em Tips 2nd Secret Tip You'll Never Forget

The second secret it very similar but just as useful, and it works the same way. When you are on the turn, so there are four cards on the board, and you are waiting for the river, all you have to do is add up your outs and multiply them by two. Then again you will have the percentage chance of getting that.

So if you have 8 outs that's a 16% chance you will hit!

OK, so what about before the flop? What can we do here. Well firstly you should already know that when you hold and two cards, you have a 1 in 3 chance of hitting a pair on the flop. So if you just count in you mind when you see flops, you can estimate how you should be doing.

Another thing is, when you are holding a pocket pair, well, you have a 1 in 8 chance of hitting the set on your flop. That means that after you see a flop with a pocket pair you will get a set. This is very good. That's why it always pays to play pockets, no matter what they are, over the long term.
