Over the last 54 years, Jacuzzi has built its name around quality, beauty and innovation. With products ranging from agricultural pumps to personal spas, Jacuzzi has something for all your needs. Holding over 250 patents for pumps, whirlpool tubs and many other things, sets Jacuzzi ahead of the rest for their innovative products. They were the first company to introduce a personal bath pump to give people the luxury of having a hydrotherapy massage in the comfort of their own home. This was the beginning of what would be one of the largest and most recognizable companies in the world. Using their expertise in hydraulic technology, the Jacuzzi brothers produced motors for boats, swimming pool equipment and a wind machine that helped protect crops from frost. Their biggest innovations and what they are best known for are their wide variety of hot tubs, baths and shower systems. In 1968, Roy Jacuzzi produced the first ever bathtub that had a built in whirlpool system, which was dubbed "the Roman Bath." This made the J-300 portable pump obsolete and allowed to bather to use the full tub and thoroughly enjoy the hydrotherapy massage. In the early 1970's a larger model was put on the market, called the Adonis, and within two years, Jacuzzi was manufacturing two person units which was suitably named the Gemini. This line of tubs was produced with filters and water heaters so it wouldn't be necessary to empty the tub with every use. In the 1980's large, luxurious models of tubs started to make an appearance in the Jacuzzi line up. The "Water-Rainbow" was equipped with programmable massage jets, underwater lights and built in mirrored vanity cases.
