It is important that you start by destroying the credit cards. Five or more credit cards is far too many, these should be paid off and destroyed. One credit card can be kept and used sparingly. After you have gotten rid of the credit cards the next step is to get rid of what you might have considered a necessity but was really a luxury, i.e. watch plain television and get rid of cable and dish. Expensive games to entertain the children are not a part of their nurture and nutrition and could very well be done without. Avoid impulse buying. If you are a shopaholic than take someone with you that will hold you credit card while you shop for only that which is necessary.
