Current Events! Kinect VsCurrent Events! Kinect Vs. Move

So the debate has been going on since these things have been released. Everyone has their own take on which is better or worse. They all bring their statistics and numbers, compare prices and bundles, and they evaluate side by side the games that were released and those that are coming soon.

Now for an outlook on the dispute that should be paid most attention to:

MY OWN PERSONAL OPINION ON THE MATTER, MWA-HA-HA-HA-HA!

I will break down all those sales numbers and stats for everyone in an easy to read bullet format.

Microsoft Kinect is surpassing the Sony Playstation 3's Move.

Got it? My take on this matter is that people must see Move as being a duplicate of the Wii. Kinect is its own animal. Really, you don't even need a controller or Wiimote or nunchuck or nothing. You have hands? Hands are firmly attached to a body? You're able to speak? You're good to go!

The games Kinect has made available have appealed to the Wii audience, which is what Microsoft was going for. Apparently, people like to dance, exercise, and play sports along with their consoles (unlike us who rather enjoy sitting with a beer playing a real time strategy). The fact that the Kinect scans your body and records your movements in these games is unique and progressive. On the other hand, the Playstation 3 Move bundles include Move Sports Champions. I swear I've played these games before. Oh, yeah! I have Wii Sports already.

I'm not trying to praise the Kinect and bash the Move. In fact, I probably will never get a Kinect. With the scanning and lighting problems I've overheard about the Kinect, my small house would not be the proper setting. I'd have to convince my wife to pawn our living room couches in order to Kinect Dance within the suitable space. I don't know what the Move will need to make me buy it. PS3 boasts graphics over the Wii. I would need some kind of first person samurai/ninja multiplayer game, where I could run around with my friends in real time sword fights using the Move controllers. Move needs to do the opposite of Microsoft, and instead of trying to get the Wii audience, they need to focus on their current players.

I have a Wii, and it's still entertaining for me. Unless something drastic and unbelievable is put out for either of these peripherals, I will stay neutral.
