Who can resist a juicy, tempting platter of BBQ wings? Its actually quite easy to make barbeque chicken wings so long as you are using a good recipe. My recipe below is quite simple and one of my favorites:
My Favorite BBQ Wings Recipe
Ingredients
Chicken wings (About 18 of them will do for the measurements of the spices and condiments we are mentioning below. Take care to break the wings at the joints. You could choose to remove the tips or leave them on. Removing the tips makes your wings look neater; but leaving them on adds to their natural flavor.)
cup soy sauce
cup honey
One tablespoon of catsup
One tablespoonful of oil
Some crushed garlic
teaspoon of ginger powder
Salt and pepper
Prep Work
Most bags of chicken wings are ready to rock and roll but I always suggest you check each one and get rid of any awful looking ones. Remember that wings are generally mechanically seperated so a little human inspection goes a long way. Next sprinkle them with some salt and pepper and move onto to the sauce.
You can now prepare the BBQ sauce. Mix soy sauce with honey in a large enough bowl. Mix them well and then add the ginger, garlic and catsup to it. Mix them well. Your marinade is ready.
Baking
This BBQ wings recipe is best done by baking in an oven. You could choose to grill it in the traditional manner, but baking is just as good.
Grab a large cookie sheet and cover it with foil (foil helps with clean up and retains heat making them cook more uniformly). Spread the chicken wings out evenly and not too close to one another. . Cook the wings at 400 degrees for 45 minutes. Remove the wings and allow to cool for 5 minutes.
It is a good idea to keep some of the sauce residual and keep basting the chicken wings with it periodically as it is getting done.
After this, your BBQ chicken wings are done. Serve and enjoy!
