In order to master effective prospecting tips in your MLM business, you need to know exactly what prospecting means. Even before you decide to sign up for a particular network marketing prospecting system, it is critical that you learn what you are doing and the history of why you do what you are about to do.

If you were to look up "prospecting" in the dictionary in it's original term, it would give you a definition similar to digging for GOLD. In a sense, when you go about your daily activities of looking for qualified people to join your business or become a customer, you are actually digging for gold.

For example, if you are selling a nutritional product, where would you go to find others who would potentially be interested in what you have to offer, especially if what you sell can help people lose weight in a healthy way. You could very well take your business off line and do very well. Going to specific locations like gyms and your local recreational centers could be a good place to start digging.

2.) Expose- Once you have found a targeted prospect who could very well fit all the criteria your business has to offer, the next step is to expose the idea. The key here is not to sell but to give out information that EXTENDS the idea from you to the person who is interested in your offer. This can come in the form of a newsletter, a free home delivered CD or booklet, a free consultation, etc.

3.) Involve- After you expose, the best tip to seal the deal is to involve your potential business partner or customer into your MLM business. This of course if after they have raised their hands after the expose phase, and they are still wanting more information, or wanting to move forward at this point. This is the most exciting part of the phase, because this is where up front cash flow eventually has the most potential to turn into a nice residual income stream for years to come.
