subject: Do Not Afraid With Diabetes [print this page]

Diabetes has hidden dangers that begin before diagnosis and continue to worsen if certain steps are not taken to prevent the complications that are the true, "killers" in terms of diabetes. Why do diabetics life shorter life spans than non-diabetics? The answer is both simple and complicated. Simple in explaining in general terms, complicated in the medical sense.

According to the World Health Organization, a few decades back diabetes was an uncommon disease, in both developed and developing countries. Today, the story is different. It is currently estimated that over 143million people worldwide are affected by the disease. This figure is ever increasing, by 2020 over 220million people are expected to be living with diabetes, if the current trend continues.

There are two main types of Diabetes known as Type 1 Diabetes and Type 2 Diabetes. Type 1 develops when the body is not able to produce any insulin. Type 2 develops while your body is able make some, but not enough insulin itself, or if the produced insulin doesn't work properly (called insulin resistance).

The aim with the treatment of Diabetes is to have blood glucose levels, blood pressure and cholesterol levels as near to average as is possible.

Diabetes insipidus is characterized by an unusually high intake of fluid, high output of urine and, in some cases, an excessive thirst. The symptoms of diabetes insipidus include the frequent need to urinate, awakening at night to urinate or involuntary urination while sleeping. Also, the volume of urine output increases. The insulin that is being created by the body may not be genetically proper and thus does not do its job. It is also believed that by introduction to specific overproduction of insulin, the body does not process it properly, as well

There are some common diabetes causes that include genetic causes as well as environmental causes. The risk of diabetes is higher if there is a family history of diabetes. Environmental factors that can lead to the onset of diabetes include poor diet, lack of exercise and stress. One of the diabetes causes that have been confirmed by scientists and doctors is obesity. The technical term for an excessive build up of fat within the body of a patient, obesity is a serious condition in American and some other western countries.

There are some natural diabetes remedies that have been proven to work. Apple cider vinegar has often been labeled the king of remedies and it also works for diabetes. All you need to do is buy a quality apple cider vinegar from your nearest grocery store. We recommend Bragg's brand for their superior quality. Take 2 tablespoons of ACV and add a pinch of salt to it. Mix both ingredients in a glass of warm water. You can also add a little honey for taste.

You should take a daily vitamin and flaxseed oil supplement. Alfalfa which is also rich in vitamins and minerals has also been shown to regulate blood sugar levels. A high fiber diet with plenty of whole foods has also been shown to be beneficial. You should drink plenty of water to help you shed those extra pounds. Most hunger pains are actually thirst pains.
