The 40-year-old NFL star had yet to officially confirm his return to the premier professional football league in the planet but his actuation's and actions point to such direction. Favre already told the Vikings that he might return to the team if his arthroscopic surgery on his left ankle will heal fast. If the superstar quarterback indeed returns to the Vikings, he is expected to receive a salary of $13 million. NFL fans particularly Vikings fans are hoping Favre returns to the NFL next season to make the professional football league more exciting. In his many years in the NFL Favre is one of the biggest stars of the sport. Favre was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons in the second round, 33rd overall in the 1991 NFL Draft. On July 19, 1991, Favre agreed to a three-year, $1.4 million contract with a reported signing bonus of $350,000. The Green Bay Packers general manager Ron Wolf traded a firstround pick (19th overall, RB Tony Smith, Southern Miss) for Favre during the following off-season. Wolf, while an assistant to the general manager of the New York Jets, had intended to take Favre in the 1991 NFL draft, but Favre was taken by the Falcons on the previous pick.
