Though the initial cost is higher than other sources of lighting it is amply made up in the long run and because of its low energy consumption, practically no maintenance and its small size they are also used in hand held mechanisms like torches, cameras, mobile phones to mention a few. In fact their cost effectiveness and longevity is so high that they are being used for lighting homes and offices. LED lighting lamps are used for many purposes and where you require color you will find that LED has a variety of colors which you can use.
