Wouldn't it be great to just pop some lose-fat pills and have all of your excess body fat just melt away? In fact, there used to be lose-fat pills that did just that. You took one of the pills when you wanted to start losing weight and then downed the other when you had lost as much weight as you desired and you wanted the weight loss to stop. The problem with these fabulous lose-fat pills was that they caused the body to starve during the weight loss period.
Say What?
You see, these lose-fat pills consisted of a tape worm and de-worming medicine. That's right! The first pill had the head of a tape worm in it and once you took it, the little fellow attached itself inside your intestines and began greedily devouring everything you ate before your body could digest it. You then began to starve and you lost weight. Once your weight had plunged to the level you desired, you took the other pill and poisoned the now not so little fellow and pooped him out into the commode. Yuck!
It was dangerous and was rightfully banned. Since then, there have been many attempts at finding a substitute because to do so would mean an enormous amount of money for the inventor.
Types of Lose-Fat Pills
Currently on the market there are lose-fat pills which do not quite produce the fat loss that their early, macabre cousins could. The Modern counterparts fall into 3 categories. Lose-fat pills that stimulate the body's metabolism. These lose-fat pills usually use caffeine or plants that contain caffeine to boost the bodies metabolism in order to burn more calories. Of course you still need to diet and exercise with these pills if you want to lose weight.
Then there are the lose-fat pills that block fat absorption during the digestion of your food. These type of pills do not block all fat from being absorbed by the body. If you are lucky you might get 30% to 40% absorption rate. These lose-fat pills usually come with the disgusting side effect of an "oily discharge" which is something I can only thankfully guess at.
The last category of lose-fat pills are the appetite suppressants. These pills use chemicals that either do away with your appetite or simply suppress your hunger signals. If they merely suppress your hunger signals you will sadly find out that they do not take away cravings. If you truly want a pill that makes you not want to eat, you need one that makes you slightly nauseous.
The Biggest Problem With Lose-Fat Pills
Even if you find lose-fat pills that actually works for you and you lose all of the weight you want, what are you going to do then? You have heard the expression "easy come, easy go". Well the inverse is also true, "easy go easy come." Once you are done losing weight with lose-fat pills and you stop taking them...the fat comes marching home again hooray, hooray.
A much better plan is to lose your weight through proper nutrition and exercise and surprisingly enough, this doesn't involve living like a monk--although some monks can be pretty rotund. It is actually easier than you think. Common sense and a plan can have you in great shape in short order and you will also have the benefit of keeping the fat off forever.
