Learning What Makes Money and What Does Not
Hanging out in forums, on Twitter and Facebook is great fun, but I am in Internet Marketing to make a full time income. You must put your time where the money is. Take notice of what questions are being asked in forums and blogs to see if you can offer some solutions by providing some content of value. Change your mindset and you will begin to realize how social media can be used to your monetary advantage.
Learn To Take Action Stop The Procrastination
You must DO, in order to OBTAIN. Not doing anything is the worst thing you can do. It eats up your time and you accomplish nothing. If you do this repeatedly you begin to second guess yourself and lose a little confidence. Eventually you will give up and stay in that comfort zone where nothing in your life changes.
Just do something even if it's not perfect. There is always time for revisions, but you must get out of the starting gate. An hour a day, a day at a time. Learning isn't doing, so always practice what you learn. I've learned my skills by educating myself and DOING what I learned. I learned it once and it will be with me forever. On to the next skill.
Turn Off The Noise Create A Learning Environment
Radios, television, children, husbands, phone calls, emails, music, etc. are distractions that we all contend with on a daily basis. Have a family meeting if necessary and explain what you are trying to accomplish with your "hour of power". Ask for you family to support you during your learning process. I'm sure they'll be receptive when they realize how this could benefit everyone in the long run! However, if you live alone start to practice self-discipline. Choose an hour where you will not allow any interruptions or distractions to make you lose focus. Advise family and friends you will not be answering phone calls or emails during this time.
If you learn to value your time you will begin to see how advantageous it can be in helping you focus on new skills.
I love giving of myself usually to a fault. I soon realized that any time I gave away meant time away from my family, hobbies and my life. Therefore, every request of my time had to be weighed against those things. This is what gave me the clarity I needed to ensure that requests of my time benefited me in multiple ways.
I began my internet marketing journey an hour at a time, a day at a time. That simple pace now has me creating 2-3 page websites, writing articles, mentoring in forums and beginning to make an online income.
That hour of investment has opened the door to additional skills and a new found confidence in myself. Video instruction, step by step methods and methods that involve duplication tools work best for me.
