Market America Business Review

Market America is a one-stop-shop for all your shopping needs. The idea is that it will replace the need to go to the mall and spend hours trailing around numerous different shops, with an online 'mall without walls', where everything you ever needed is available in one place.

What makes Market America unique is that not only does it offer you a place to do all your shopping online, but it also gives you the chance to turn it into your own business, and earn money doing it.

If you become a Market America Distributor you are given your own portal through which you can sell goods to other people, earning commissions. On top of this, if you recruit anybody else into the business you earn commissions on the items they manage to sell too. It has the potential to be very lucrative.

Market America base their business model on the franchise system, but they believe they have removed many of the imperfections within it, and as such they have renamed their system the Unfranchise System. For example, Distributors are not required to pay the large overheads that starting a franchise usually requires, so they believe this makes the opportunity more accessible to everybody.

Instead, each Market America Unfranchise owner is required to buy a specified amount of products each month, depending on what business level they are at. Each customer also gets assigned their own personal Market America customer manager who is readily available to provide assistance.

One of the problems with Market America is that they don't appear to be learning the lessons of the past regarding the promises that some MLM companies were making to their distributors.

Senior Vice President Loren Ridinger once said in a promotional video "If you do exactly what we say, and you follow the blueprint for success, there's no way you CAN'T make it."

This is not the sort of message that MLM companies should be giving out, because it misleads people about how easy it is to make money with the company. MLM companies are too often sold as get-rich-quick schemes, but this is totally innacurate.

A lot of factors, such as hard work, business ability, marketing strategies, and training can all contribute to success in your business, but it is wrong to present success as a foregone conclusion.
