I have a charcoal water purifier which works great. It is efficient and I can say that it was well-worth the money I spent on it. Also, it makes me relax about the water I am drinking and using to shower. I do not have to worry about certain contaminants getting into the family water supply. It seems like every other week there is some kind of story on TV about the contaminants in our drinking water.
But the times when I really appreciate my charcoal purifier the most are the days when I change the filters. I'm good about changing the filters, given how important it is to make sure all that gunk doesn't stop the machine from working correctly. But when I look at all that stuff on that filter, I can't help but think: Yikes! All that from my tap water? And without this machine, all that stuff would be inside of me right now? My arteries are already clogged up with cholesterol from years of too many cheeseburgers and such; I can't imagine what my body would be like with all those toxins floating around in there as well. At the same time, I wouldn't want to ever give up drinking my tap water. It always hits the spot after tennis, or a walk around the neighborhood, or on those rare occasions when I try to do some sit-ups or some other kind of exercise. In short, life without my charcoal purifier just wouldn't be the same.
In essence, it pleases me greatly to know that charcoal and water purification work well together. Without this invention, I cannot imagine letting myself and my family drink, cook and bathe using ordinary tap water with all those possible contaminants. For me, health is one big issue and that is something I would never risk. Thanks to my charcoal water purifier, I can be assured of getting clean and safe water on my faucets each day.
