Free plug for my friends at http://www.mygoya.com. One of the most annoying things / pet peeves for myself personally is when you have a file or folder you cannot access because it is on your desktop harddrive and you do not have gotomypc or the like installed on that computer. Enter mygoya.com
Mygoya is a true virtual desktop that allows you to upload and store the files and photos most important to you in one place that you can access on any pc. An evolutionary concept. The interface is very user friendly and has great end user graphics. They are so nice you forget about the "back end" and all the development that must have gone into this endeavor. Once you create an account and set your personal background and info, you can upload photos, music work files, etc. etc. for access on any PC. I will admit, it is a tedious task in the beginning, but so well worth it once you have all your necessary files uploaded. The file manager allows for private files, shared files and group collaboration files. The flexibility of a virtual desktop is beyond convenient. Especially for users and travelers like myself that alternate between multiple computers and work places and stations used.
There are some bugs and broken links but nothing to whine about as the basic functionality seems solid. This site can only get better as time goes on. I really, really like this site!
