We ran for another five to ten mins and then came to a new spot where we did more circuits. The circuit itself was straight forward, but the cold on when doing press ups, walk outs on your hands and burpees were all killer on the hands. It got the stage that it felt like needles were being pricked into my hand. At the station we just ran in a circle until an exercise was called out. We then did that exercise for 30secs, stood up and ran around.
We did 3 sets if everything then played a couple of games. Including piggy backs, then linking as a chain. One person faced one way the next faced the other way all the way down the line. Once we were set up the aim was for each side to push the opposing team in their direction. We did this a couple of times and then formed up and carried on with the run. We got to with about 500m of the detachment and at this point there is a slight incline.
The PTI desired this would be a good time to teach the fire mans carry. So we partnered up and then off we went taking it in turns to run 50 metres with our partner on our shoulders. Come the testing we will have to run 200 metres with a buddy and our webbing on in under 90 secs. We then got back to the detachment and went for a lesson on CPR, ehich is a vital piece of first aid.
